How Does DE|RIVE Work?
DE|RIVE works in two stages. First, the serum is applied to a cleansed scalp to help clear dead skin cells and debris from around the follicle and support hydration, preparing a receptive surface. The plant-derived factors are then delivered into the scalp to help support a healthy scalp environment for growth.
The serum is applied topically rather than injected, making it a non-surgical addition to the hair-treatment menu. In clinic, its delivery can be supported with AquaFirme XS and the ULTRA handpiece, or with microneedling, depending on the clinician’s protocol.
Because DE|RIVE is designed to support the scalp environment rather than act in a single session, results build through the protocol, which is monthly in-clinic applications combined with twice-daily home use.
The Science Behind DE|RIVE
Hair grows in a repeating cycle of active growth (anagen), transition (catagen) and rest (telogen). Many forms of hair loss reflect follicles spending longer in the resting phase, or producing progressively finer hair with each cycle. Supporting the scalp environment in which the follicles cycle is a recognised aim of non-invasive hair treatments.
One protein relevant to this is Cytokeratin-15 (CK15). Independent research has established CK15 as a marker of the stem-cell population in the hair-follicle bulge (the cells that contribute to follicle renewal). This builds on the original identification of these cells in human follicles.
DE|RIVE is a topical, plant-based system designed to support hair and scalp health through hydration, surface circulation and plant-derived factors. According to the manufacturer’s research, these factors may help support CK15 levels at the follicle.
How Is DE|RIVE Applied?
DE|RIVE is topically applied in-clinic and can be boosted with AquaFirme XS and ULTRA technology. Patients are sent home with a daily serum to apply morning and night after the in-clinic treatment.
Can DE|RIVE Be Combined With Other Procedures?
DE|RIVE can be combined with other in-clinic treatments and hair supplements, enhancing hair support. For most types of hair loss, maintenance by the patient is necessary to help achieve the best results.
What Does the Treatment Look Like for Your Patient?
DE|RIVE In-Office Hair Serum:
One DE|RIVE syringe is applied every 30 days in-clinic over the course of three months. Patients will take the serum home to maintain results and scalp health. A six-month follow-up appointment is recommended for some patients.
DE|RIVE Daily At-Home Support:
Between each application in-clinic, patients should use the serum at home in the morning and evening. They will go home with a 60ml dropper bottle, and one full dropper is applied twice a day.
The serum can be applied after a shower as it doesn’t leave the hair feeling greasy.

What Does the DE|RIVE Hair Wellness System Include?
DE|RIVE Shampoo: Gently cleanses and soothes the scalp whilst fighting impurities from the environment and daily activities.
DE|RIVE Leave-In Conditioner: Provides lightweight hydration without causing build-up. It moisturises the scalp and hair, leaving it nourished and conditioned.
DE|RIVE Hair Support Serum: Plant-based, growth-enhancing serum designed for the scalp and hair, promoting fuller, thicker hair. Available for both in-office use and take-home care to support continuous improvement.
1. Used in conjunction with AquaFirme XS and the ULTRA handpiece.
2. Applied with microneedling to the scalp.
3. Combined with current hair restoration treatments in-clinic, such as PRP, nutraceuticals and lasers.
4. Applied topically as a stand-alone treatment.
After the patient has received their three in-clinic treatment applications, spaced 30 days apart, they will continue the take-home serum protocol for the foreseeable future to maintain results and scalp health. Some patients report early changes within the first weeks, though response varies by individual and by the type and stage of hair loss. Clinicians should set expectations accordingly at the consultation.
